DESCRIPTION:Join Fairbanks Arts on Facebook Live for a virtual opening day event for the Northwoods Book Arts Guild's exhibition Books As Art 3. The program for this event includes an overview of the show and will highlight the Northwoods Set Book Project\, one of the special components of the exhibition\, created in collaboration with the University of Alaska Press. Christopher Lee Miles\, will be reading from his book\, Armor & Ornament\, a poetry book in the collaboration. \n \n\nThis event will be livestreamed on Fairbanks Arts' Facebook page from 6-7:30 pm\, on Friday\, November 5. \n \n\nIn addition to this event\, the 10 year anniversary of the Northwoods Book Arts Guild and annual meeting will be streamed live on Fairbanks Arts' Facebook page on November 19 from 6-7:30 pm.\n \n\nBooks As Art 3 is on view in the Bear Gallery from November 5 27\, 2021. The Bear Gallery is open Monday Saturday\, 12 6 pm. Visitors are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
