DESCRIPTION:Featuring Catherine Cahill\,\n\nACUASI\, University of Alaska Fairbanks\n  \n\n	\n		\n			The Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration (ACUASI) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is piloting the way to a drone economy in Alaska.  ACUASI is building a hub of drone innovation and workforce development in Interior Alaska that will enable Alaskans to work in a high tech industry while staying in a location they love.  Drones will unlock the ability for researchers to acquire data in areas they are currently unable to reach\, provide additional cargo services to communities across Alaska\, allow for the safe\, frequent\, and repeatable monitoring of infrastructure\, enable faster Search and Rescue\, and conduct a multitude of other missions of import to Alaskans.  This presentation will discuss ACUASI's current and future efforts to have Alaska pioneer a drone economy.
