It's 1987\, and rock and roll reigns supreme in the seedy Bourbon room\, the heart of the Sunset Strip\, run by former rocker Dennis Dupree and his mischievous assistant\, Lonny. It is there that Sherrie\, a small-town girl\, who dreams of being an actress\, bumps into Drew\, a Bourbon Room busboy\, who dreams of musical stardom. Being love-struck\, Drew convinces Dennis to hire Sherrie and their romance and dreams seem entirely within reach. But\, when the mayor\, persuaded by two sketchy German real estate agents\, has plans to demolish the Bourbon room\, it looks like all hope is lost. Can Drew\, Sherri\, and the gang save the day - and the music? This show features an array of hit 1980s rock anthems and power ballads\, including "We Built this City\," "Wanted Dead or Alive\," "I Want to Know What Love is\," and so many more!
