DESCRIPTION:Come one\, come all to the first annual Green Star of Interior Alaska Software Freedom Day Linux and FOSS Event WHERE: GSIA Headquarters   2134 Texaco Ave. WHEN: Saturday\, September 21st from 1:00 to 5:00 Learn about some of the free and open source software (FOSS) we use to breathe new life into many of the systems we refurbish and resell (or give away through our Reboot IT Technology grants program). Bring a laptop or use one of our demo systems If you'd like to try some FOSS on your own device\, bring a laptop. If you don't want to put new software on your hardware\, try FOSS out on one of our demo machines. We will have several laptops available to be used. Open to the public No tickets\, rsvp or appointments necessary   this is a come as you are / come and go event. However\, if there is something specific you would like to see or do specific to FOSS please let us know. Call 907-452-4152 or email reuseit@iagreenstar.org if you have questions or requests. FOSS Swag will be given away! We have some swag from System76 and a couple of other FOSS promoters. You won't want to miss out.
