2015 Youth Safety Day

Youth Safety Day is co-sponsored by Spirit of Alaska Federal Credit Union, Midnight Sun Council Boy Scouts of America, Farthest North Girl Scouts Council and Volunteers in Policing. The day is free for families and centered around safety education in various aspects. Kids can bring their bikes and get a safety check-up, a free bike helmet (Kinross Fort Knox) and ride the bike rodeo. Salvation Army will be giving out free new winter jackets for kids. Youth can visit various safety stations, fill out their Passport to Safety and turn it in to be entered into a drawing for a new bike (Goldstream Sports), a balance bike (R.E.I.) and an electric scooter (WalMart). Come visit with local police and fire responders and local non-profits.
