Alaska Design Forum :: Automata Lecture Series, Skylar TIbbets

Skylar Tibbits is the founder and co-director of the Self-Assembly Lab housed at MIT’s International Design Center. The Self-Assembly Lab focuses on self-assembly and programmable material technologies for novel manufacturing, products and construction processes. He is also Editor-In-Chief of the 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Journal and the founder of SJET, LLC. Some of Skylar’s recent awards include: R&D Magazine’s 2015 Innovator of the Year, 2014 Inaugural WIRED Fellow, 2013 Architectural League Prize, and Revolutionary Mind in SEED Magazine’s 2008 Design Issue.
