Alaska Railroad 2023 / Centennial Print/Poster Signing

For its 100-year anniversary, the Alaska Railroad releases two 2023 annual art prints / posters at a sale-and-signing event 4-7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 6, 2023 at the Fairbanks Depot. Come greet and obtain signatures from the two Alaskan artists who created the original artwork. An original oil painting by North Pole artist William “Art” Chase depicts nine locomotives influential to the railroad’s transportation development over the decades. An original charcoal pencil drawing by Nenana artist Noah Nolywaika depicts the Nenana depot and President Harding driving a golden spike to complete the railroad in 1923.
