Annual Membership Meeting

Each year the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce holds the Annual Membership Meeting to highlight the year’s achievements and recognize the outstanding contributions of the membership to make Interior Alaska the “place” to do business. This year’s event will take place at the Westmark Hotel from 12pm – 1:30pm on Tuesday, December 10th.  Reserve your tickets and tables today!


Event highlights include the presentation of the the annual awards, the Bill Stroecker Business of the Year Award & George Nehrbas Volunteer of the Year Award, and the live voting by the audience for the Artist of the Year.


Annual Awards Help recognize those that make this community a better place!

• • Bill Stroecker Business of the Year Award–The Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce will honor the accomplishments in the business community with the Bill Stroecker Business of the Year Award to a member of the Chamber who has shown a leading drive in local development with sights on the future of Fairbanks. They will be recognized for consistent community involvement, an excellent business reputation and as a leader in their own profession and/or field of business.

• • George Nehrbas Volunteer of the Year Award–Each year, the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce chooses to honor a member of the Chamber who has distinguished themselves as an outstanding volunteer during the past year. The George Nehrbas Award is presented as our most visible recognition of outstanding volunteer contributions to our community.

Artist of the Year Each year the Fairbanks Chamber of provides a local artist the opportunity to be showcased to thousands of Fairbanks residents and visitors. The winning artwork is the image of the Chamber—featured on all marketing materials during 2013, including, but not limited to Membership Postcard, Membership Directory and Buyer’s Guide, the Chamber’s Website and the Chamber’s Fairbanks & North Pole Map.
