We welcome Jahna Lindemuth, former Attorney General of Alaska and respected legal leader, as the next guest in the Arctic Leadership Lecture Series. Lindemuth guided the Alaska Department of Law during a time of significant constitutional and public safety challenges, advancing work on tribal justice, civil rights, and state governance. With a career spanning private practice, public service, and civic leadership, she will share reflections on leading with integrity, navigating legal complexity, and serving Alaskans in times of rapid change.

The Arctic Leadership Lecture Series is hosted by the UAF Political Science Department and the UAF Arctic and Northern Studies program. The series brings together influential voices from across the North to discuss leadership, policy, and the future of the Arctic. It is presented in partnership with the Arctic Leadership Initiative, which fosters leadership through education, dialogue, and collaboration.
About the Speaker
Jahna Lindemuth served as Alaska’s Attorney General from 2016 to 2018, where she oversaw litigation on issues ranging from constitutional rights to natural resource development. Before her appointment, she was a managing partner at Dorsey & Whitney LLP in Anchorage, specializing in complex civil litigation. She has been recognized for her work in tribal justice and efforts to address Alaska’s public safety crisis. Lindemuth is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law and continues to be active in legal and civic leadership across Alaska.
