Ballroom Dance Competition: Alaska International Senior Games

Looking for some fun on the dance floor? If you're over 50 years old, sign up for the dance competition in the Alaska International Senior Games, happening at 6 p.m. Friday, August 19 at the Pioneer Park Dance Center. Age categories are in 5-year increments with no upper age limit. You compete in the age group of the younger of the two partners. The competition covers three dances: Foxtrot, Waltz, and East Coast Swing. Each couple has the floor to themselves for each dance and competes in all three dances for a grand total score determined by two dance instructors from the Ballroom Dance Club of Fairbanks.
