Cavity Free at Three

Tanana Valley Clinic in partnership with Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and the American Academy of Pediatrics will host a two day master trainer program for all interested medical and dental professional. The Cavity Free at Three Program supports a need for the integration of Dental and Pediatrics care for young children in Interior Alaska. The goal is to provide oral health education for the entire community by working with local Dentists to supplement care before age three. The program will feature visiting and local guest speakers Jack Westfall, MD, MPH, Patty Braun, MD, MPH, Dennis Lewis, DDS, Anne Gibbs, RDH and Theresa Dulski, MD with Laura Brunner, MD. The program begins Monday morning at 9am in the TVC Multimedia Room and will feature training and education for medical/dental attendees. Tuesday morning the program continues, and TVC has pre-arranged guest volunteers from the community whose children will receive free oral health exams and fluoride varnish treatments given as part of the training program.
