CHRISTMAS IN ICE - CHRISTMAS DAY WITH SANTA Friday, December 25, Noon – 6pm Free entrance is Christmas in Ice’s way of thanking the community for their support. The park opens at noon, with Santa arriving about 1pm. Have pictures taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus and tell family to watch you live on our Santa Cam located on our website. ?OVERALL EVENT NOTICE: CHRISTMAS IN ICE - Christmas themed ice park and Elf’s Icy playground. Christmas in Ice is an annual event that lights up the Christmas season in North Pole, Alaska. This Ice Park features a Christmas-themed ice art competition during the month of December with sculptures by local and international carvers. There is a youth ice carving competition in addition to single block and multi-block competitions. Special events include a BP Picnic Under the Stars and Military Appreciation Day sponsored by Petro Star Refinery. See Santa on Christmas day, and on New Year’s enjoy hot cocoa and fireworks at our special family friendly event. Our new skating rink is surrounded by castle walls built with the help of the 70th Brigade Engineer Battalion from Fort Wainwright. For big and little kids, there is the Elf’s Icy playground with 100 foot ice slides, mazes, and twirlers. Indoors there are craft activities and special performers. Concessions and gifts are available in our warm, cozy reception area.
