Cruise With a Cause - Benefiting the Fairbanks Rescue Mission

Our annual Cruise With a Cause will be on Friday, August 9, 2013 (boarding begins at 6:30PM and we set sail at 7:00PM). Riverboat Discovery has graciously donated their Sternwheeler, Discovery II, to our signature fundraising event - Cruise With a Cause; which will feature an evening trip down the Chena to the Tanana River; with silent and outcry auctions, delicious food , and live music. The Fairbanks Rescue Mission is the only overnight men’s and women’s emergency shelter in Interior Alaska. In addition to providing 44,645 bed-nights and 73,847 meals to those in need in 2012, we are helping our residents overcome homelessness with our Recovery (Genesis Program), Green Collar Job Training (Recycling Center), and the Veteran’s Programs, and soon Joshua House, providing transitional housing.
