Dedication of Bishop William Gordon

In the lobby of the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center, a bright yellow Piper PA 20 hangs from the ceiling. This plane is a replica of the plane flown by Episcopal Bishop William “the Flying Bishop” Gordon. He logged hundreds of thousands of miles ministering to congregations around the state. The sound of his plane buzzing a community became a frequent and welcome greeting to the people he served. Family and friends of the late Bishop will gather to dedicate the plane and exhibit installed in his honor.
