19th Annual Concerts in Golden Heart Plaza - "Fairbanks Community Band" - Re-established in 1993, Fairbanks bands have existed almost continuously from the turn of the previous century. The fifty piece ensemble, ages 20-80, ranging from professional musicians, to those dusting off their instruments after a thirty-year hiatus, plays under the direction of conductor Wendy Ward or assistant conductor Jim Fisher.
