The University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute invites you to free public science lecture titled "Earth's Cocktail Party: Deciphering the physics of earthquakes with networks of seismic arrays."
Dr. Jean Paul Ampuero, assistant professor at California Institute of Technology, is a Seismological Society of America and Incorporated Institutions for Seismology distinguished lecturer. His talk will focus on what seismic arrays are, how they are used and how seismologists are gleaning new information about earthquake processes and hazards.
