Fairbanks Arts First Friday: Up With Art - Annual Student Art Exhibition
Every March, Fairbanks Arts Association is delighted to welcome young artists from the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District in the Bear Gallery for the Up With Art Exhibition. Thanks to the Fairbanks community’s commitment to arts education, this exhibition is now in its 35th year!
District-wide arts specialist and art teachers from participating schools choose two- and three-dimensional artwork to be displayed in the gallery as a celebration of National Youth Arts Month. Artists of all grades pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade create a visual timeline of the growth students undergo as they progress through an exemplary art program supported by the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.
