Fairbanks Aviation Day

The Airport Operators Council at Fairbanks International Airport is hosting Fairbanks
Aviation Day, May 16, 2015. This one day event welcomes the public to get a “behind the
scenes” look at what goes on at the airport. Activities include a pancake breakfast, hands-on
activities, aircraft on display, mini-seminars, airport tours and more. The Experimental Aircraft
Association will host a Young Eagles program, where youth are able to take a free introductory
flight.
The event is free, open to the public, and will take place at the UAF Aviation Technology Hangar
at 3504 South University Avenue, on the northeast corner of the airport, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Proceeds from the pancake breakfast will be used to fund aviation scholarships and educational
programs in Fairbanks.
