The Alaska Energy Authority is a public corporation of the state of Alaska governed by a board of directors with the mission to “reduce the cost of energy in Alaska.” To achieve this mission, AEA strives to diversify Alaska's energy portfolio increasing resiliency, reliability, and redundancy. As the state’s energy office and lead agency for statewide energy policy and program development, AEA is making positive impacts in nearly every community and for ratepayers across Alaska. Come hear from AEA on the latest legislative outcomes that will benefit electricity ratepayers by increasing transmission system efficiency, prioritizing low-cost power, and fostering the development of new energy sources, including renewable energy.
