Fairbanks Chamber Weekly Business Luncheon: Economic Growth and Prosperity is Within Reach- How We Can Make it Happen

Featuring Scott Hawkins
President and CEO
Advanced Supply Chain INTL

Newly discovered oil on the North Slope is potentially a game changer.  It could restore state revenue, fill the pipeline 2/3 full, create hundreds if not thousands of high paying jobs in the Interior, and add billions to the Alaska Permanent Fund. However, these discoveries are challenged by low oil prices, fiscal instability and heavy new infrastructure requirements. Members will hear some leading-edge strategies to make sure these developments happen. Those same principles can be applied to development
of several promising mine proposals, too, as well as other Alaska industries.

Hawkins, a trained economist, is co-founder of ASCI, a well respect oilfield services company that employs 200 Alaskans. As his firm handles material and equipment for most N. Slope producers, he is attuned to the heartbeat of the Alaska oilpatch.
