Fairbanks Chamber Weekly Business Luncheon: Ensuring a safe and successful return to the community
Nikki Hines, Prisoner Reentry Coordinator, will discuss the Alaska Prisoner Reentry Initiative(AK-PRI). The AK-PRI is a statewide strategic approach to reduce crime to create safer neighborhoods and better citizens through the delivery of a seamless plan of services, programming, support, and supervision. This is a community wide initiative that requires support from citizens, employers, and community leaders. Chamber members might be interested in hearing how they can benefit from hiring ex-offenders; Work Opportunity Tax credit and Fidelity Bonding. Updates on proposals that change how we currently sentencing offenders and when those changes could take place. Date and Time
