DEC Commissioner Jason Brune will provide an update on the recently finalized air quality plan (or Serious State Implementation Plan) for the Fairbanks North Star Borough fine particulate matter non-attainment area.  Learn more about the final regulatory requirements, effective dates, and how the State incorporated feedback from the community.  The final plan will apply to residents and businesses within the area including industrial facilities, businesses with incinerators, restaurants with charbroilers, coffee roasters, wood sellers, wood and coal stove providers, used oil burners, and real estate professionals.  Also learn more about the State’s next steps in meeting the on-going federal planning process.
