Fairbanks International Airport presents Sixel Consulting Group who will address new route development opportunities and the community support that's needed to grow air service in Fairbanks. Air service is vital for a communities economic growth and is an essential driver for increasing tourism. Despite the critical economic role of airports, the tools to increase air traffic in an airport’s toolbox are limited which forces airports to get creative with their marketing and air service development. The remote location of Alaska, exceptionally high fares, and limited non-stop air service are among primary deterrents facing Fairbanks as we work to expand visitor numbers and provide locals with more travel options. The Fairbanks Airport would like to discuss the airport’s current air service initiatives as well as future plans as we work to build new, high-impact, sustainable air service for the Fairbanks community.
