The Salcha-Badger Road area is rapidly changing. It is the fastest growing area in the FNSB. Added to this growth, F-35 families, or 3,300 new residents, are coming to Eielson Air Force Base over the next few years. Eighty five percent of those families will live in the Salcha-Badger Road area.
The Area Plan strategically prepares community leaders, business owners and residents for change and will protect what residents value most about the Salcha-Badger Road area. It is a community resource and guide that will improve quality of life for existing and new residents by addressing immediate and longer-term community needs including housing, transportation, utilities, recreation and commerce.
