A convention would unnecessarily inject years of uncertainty into the government frameworks that influence every aspect of Alaskansʼ lives—the last thing Alaska businesses and families need. A convention risks damaging Alaskaʼs fragile economy and threatening the livelihoods of Alaskaʼs business owners. A convention would be a classic Pandoraʼs Box of unforeseen consequences. Our amendment process works well, and has allowed us to make targeted changes 28 times without ripping open the entire document.
