Fairbanks Opioid Workgroup

What is the Fairbanks Opioid Workgroup? A forum to discuss the opioid epidemic in Fairbanks and its surrounding areas; focused on education, prevention, intervention, recovery & program funding. January's meeting will be a strategic planning session with Mike Walsh of The Foraker Group to help us articulate the group’s core purpose/values/mission.  Leif Vick, Director of Turning Point Counseling's Intensive Outpatient Program, will also present on the Science of Addiction. He will talk about addiction and how it works in terms of why people act the way they act.
