First Friday Artists' Reception: Ina Timling; Randy Zarnke & Kirke Jorgensen

Printmaker Ina Timling has titled her show “Earth and Sky”, and will feature linoleum and woodcut designs that are inspired by the grand landscapes of Alaska. Ina Timling is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where she studies soil microbes in arctic soils. Additionally, Randy Zarnke and Kirke Jorgensen will be signing copies of An Alaskan Adventure: A Story of Finding Gold in the Far North From 1893-1903, an original memoir by Frederick James Currier. The book relates Currier’s travels through the gold fields of Alaska and Yukon. A cast of Fairbanks children will perform a short play based on scenes from the book.
