About our Guest:
Luke T. Hopkins is the Mayor of Fairbanks North Star Borough and has been a resident of Fairbanks for over 45 years. He attended the University of Alaska, Fairbanks (UAF), and continued his involvement with the campus for over 35 years in various planning and operational capacities. Mayor Hopkins served on the Fairbanks North Star Borough's Planning Commission for seven years and was a Borough Assembly member for more than five years in several roles including serving as the Assembly's Presiding Officer, Deputy Presiding Officer, Vice Chair of the Finance Committee, and Chair of the Audit Committee.
