In 2014, The Alaska Support Industry Alliance (The Alliance) and the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority joined together to determine teenage awareness of the Alaska job market and their understanding of barriers that could keep them from becoming eligible for good paying jobs in Alaska.

This project developed out of an acknowledgement that Alaska?s workforce pool is shrinking due to an aging population, job growth will be substantial between 2012-2022 and many potential workers have made poor decisions earlier in their lives that keep them from qualifying for good jobs. The presentation will be focused on our initial research findings.
