The Fairbanks mental health community is in crisis. Fairbanks has a lack of resources to provide mental health care to the Fairbanks community. We all are affected by mental health issues. From the employer who has an employee with mental health issues, to the parent who has a child with mental health issues, and to the downtown business owner who has to deal with chronic inebriates. No one is removed from the situation, as much as we think we might be. We all know someone, be it a family member, close friend or neighbor who is affected by the mental health crisis.
