Hitting Reset on the Anchorage Daily News: Plans for 2018 and beyond

After months of speculation, the struggling Alaska Dispatch News (renamed the Anchorage Daily News) came under new ownership in September. This January 24, PRSA Alaska kicks off its 2018 professional development luncheon series with Ryan Binkley, one of the new co-publishers of the now renamed Anchorage Daily News. The professional development luncheon is slated for noon-1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24 at the Westmark Hotel, located at 813 Noble Street in Fairbanks. Binkley will talk about his vision for the newspaper's future, and how communications professionals can play a role in the paper’s success. Ryan Binkley was born in Fairbanks and has lived around the state his whole life. He is a fourth-generation riverboat captain who has led his family business in Fairbanks, The Riverboat Discovery and Gold Dredge 8, for the last 11 years.
