North Pole Health Fair

Not sure what your cholesterol numbesrs are or need a flu shot? Find out at the annual North Pole Health Fair this Saturday, October 18, 8A-Noon, held at North Pole Plaza. Presented and coordinated by North Pole Rotary, the Health Fair provides flu shots, free health and education screenings, and low-cost blood tests including Comprehensive ($40), Thyroid ($30), Prostrate ($25), and Vitamin-D ($50) Screening Blood Tests. You must fast for the comprehensive screening blood test, but drink plenty of water! The comprehensive blood test is a panel of 27 tests that includes cholesterol, white blood cell count, glucose for diabetes, anemia, kidney function and more. You must be 18 to have blood drawn. All presecription medications should be taken and diabetics should not fast. The Health Fair offers people an opportunity for early detection of health problems and to increase their health awareness through screenings and education.
