Pier 1 Imports Fairbanks Store Grand Opening

Fairbanks will now be home to the international company’s northernmost location. Pier 1 is welcoming the community to its grand opening extravaganza with tasty snacks, $2,000 in gift cards to give away and more at the new Fairbanks store. An only-in-Alaska ribbon-kicking ceremony featuring a World Eskimo-Indian Olympics champion, will take place at 10 a.m., to celebrate this exciting newcomer to Fairbanks’ home décor and furniture scene. Pier 1 will also donate $5,000 to the Resource Center for Parents and Children. To honor its new Fairbanks customers, Pier 1 will raffle off four $500 gift cards, the first winner to be chosen at 10 a.m., with another selected every hour on the hour throughout the event.
