Pizza con Funghi (Pizza with Mushrooms) Live Performance

Stone Soup Cafe and Opera Fairbanks present Seymour Barab's hilarious one-act opera, "Pizza con Funghi" (Pizza with Mushrooms). Sung in English, this show is a joint fundraiser for both organizations. The basic plot: Voluptua, the beautiful young wife of the aging Count Formaggio, tries to poison her husband in order to be free to marry her handsome young lover, Scorpio. Phobia, the aptly-named maid, tries to warn the Count, with unexpected consequences! Mix and bake for a comedy of gourmand proportions! Pizza reception follows the show. Not recommended for children.
