Rockets & Gold: Poker Flat Research Range Open House

The Geophysical Institute at UAF invites Fairbanks community members to visit the world's only university-owned rocket range, located in Chatanika, the heart of the Interior's gold-mining district.  The Rocks and Gold: Poker Flat Research Range Open House will be held in conjunction with Fairbanks' Golden Days on Thursday, July 17 from 4 - 8pm.  Admission is free to the public! Activities will include tours of the lower range, unmanned airial system demonstrations and presentation on the range's exciting history since opening in 1969.
