TEDx-style Talks - Microgrids in Alaska, for America

The University of Alaska Fairbanks, Alaska Center for Energy and Power, Office of Naval Research, and the Fairbanks North Star Borough are bringing to UAF a TED-style talk. Through personal stories told by the people who live and work here, this event will provide a unique and highly enjoyable opportunity for individuals in the greater Fairbanks area to become more familiar with some of the key challenges facing Alaska. A wide range of topics will be addressed by 6 speakers, including energy, economics, policy, environment, and even future-building via story-telling. Speakers will come from both the community and the University. This event is being held adjacent to Alaska National Lab Day and is sponsored by Fairbanks North Star Borough and the Office of Naval Research. ?Light appetizers and a no-host bar will be available during intermission.
