Open up the world to you and your family with these weekly Monday presentations from UAF’s international community. Talks will be informal and emphasize the unique aspects of growing up in a different culture.


This presentation will give a brief history of Bangladesh and discuss Grameen Bank's impact on the lives of underprivileged rural women of Bangladesh. 
 

Trina Mamoon, originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh, is Associate Professor of Foreign Languages with affiliation with the Women's and Gender Studies Program. She has been teaching Russian, French, and World Literature at UAF since 1998.
