UAF West Ridge Holiday Open House on First Friday

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host a West Ridge holiday open house and First Friday event Dec. 5, from 2-6 p.m. in the Elvey and Akasofu buildings.

The event will feature sales on books, printing, clothing, maps, qiviut and a wide variety of gift items from the Geophysical Institute, Alaska Volcano Observatory, GeoData Center and Alaska Sea Grant. Some discounts may apply.

Guests may enjoy refreshments, giveaways and door prizes. The GI’s Geographic Network of Alaska will have several hands-on science activities. The National Weather Service and Mather Library will have tours of their operations. Alaska EPSCoR will have an information booth.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be free parking on UAF’s West Ridge from 2-6 p.m. as well.
