Wilderness and Remote First Aid

Learn to be prepared for the unknown when camping or working in wilderness Alaska! Learn the Following:

  • Integration of emergency action principles in wilderness setting
  • preform primary and secondary assessments
  • head (brain), neck and spinal injuries
  • Hypothermia
  • Heat-related illnesses
  • Allergies and Anaphylaxis
  • Wounds and wound infection
  • Bone and Joint injuries
  • Burns and much more
16 hour course CPR/AED-1st aid are pre-requisites for the class. Not certified, we have classes you can take before November 26th. Must be 16 years of age or older. Minimum of 4 students: maximum 10 students-must register by NOVEMBER 14, 2010. Red cross certification good for 2 years.
