            • At this year’s Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet, Katie Ganley was selected as the 2019 Artist of the Year for her piece titled, “Crane.” 

              "It’s surreal. A year ago I didn’t even know I was capable of anything like this, I just knew I’d found something I loved doing and wanted to see where it would take me. To finish my first year as an artist and begin my second with this award is just an amazing feeling. I’m looking forward to working closely with the Chamber in 2019 and can’t wait to see what the year brings!" -Katie

            • About the Artist of the Year Contest About the Artist of the Year Contest

              The contest provides local artists in the Fairbanks/North Pole community the opportunity to be showcased to thousands of Fairbanks residents and tourists...

              The winning artwork will be featured on the Chamber's marketing materials throughout the year, including, but not limited to, the membership postcard, the Chamber's website, and the Fairbanks and North Pole vicinity map. 

              The winner is recognized in the Chamber's eNews and showcased at a special First Friday event hosted by the Chamber. The artist will also be provided multiple opportunities to display and sell their artwork at events throughout the year.
